Learn About Majors

Majors at the University of Oregon

The UO offers more than 75 majors to choose from. The following resources can help you narrow this list and explore the requirements to complete majors of interest to you:

  • Visit the Career Center and ask to use the Majors Card Sort. This deck of cards allows you to read a brief description of what you will learn in each major and sort them by level of interest. Decks of cards are for use only in the Career Center. Allow yourself approximately 30 minutes to complete this card sort
  • Use Resources for Exploration to identify strategies to learn more about each major and how it fits with you.
  • Visit Academic Advising's How to Choose a Major website and/or visit with an advisor to help you learn more about classes required for majors.
